On October 7th, my sister was murdered.
She was at the "Nova" music festival.

I spoke to her before she disappeared -  She said they were shooting at her and that her friend had died in her arms.

I asked her to send me her location so we could come and get her out of there.

She refused. "You dont come near here; they'll kill you too" she said.

I told her to hide and to escape .

She wrote back that she loved me.

And then, she stopped responding.

I needed to create a reality where I could be with her again. To hug her one more time.

I realized I had to get this out of my head, or I would remain trapped between the fantasy and the dry, detached retelling of the story, again and again.

I believed that through cinema, I could convey the depth and intensity behind the story.

I sought help, asked around, and eventually found Omer. His work spoke my language. I trusted my intuition and reached out to him.

I've shared my idea with him, and his response was: "its like Im reading my own thoughts."

The more we talked, the more we discovered what we had in common. Omer’s father was murdered in a terror attack in 2003. He was just nine years old at the time.

These are feelings he knows and tries to capture in his films. We realized we are walking the same path, carrying wounds and scars that live and breathe even 20 years later. And we are not the only ones.

Our wish is that through this film, anyone who has experienced such a loss will feel like they can embrace their loved one one last time.
And for the observer, it will be an opening—a window into the heart of grieving
